Verstappen is reminiscent of Rindt: 'Matter of time before he takes the title'

Not only in the Netherlands, but also in other countries, Max Verstappen will impress with his way of driving in 2020. The title may be out of sight, but Formula 1 journalist David Tremayne does not hide his appreciation.
Verstappen becomes an adult
''I've always thought Max was a great driver, but now that he's lost some of the rough edges that we feared in 2016, I'm even more fond of him. He reminds me of Jochen Rindt. He never gives up, but is still waiting for a car that can help him win the title," Tremayne said to Formula1.com.
''On the track, his way of driving is a pleasure to watch. Next to the track he is funny, critical, but above all always honest. Formula 1 needs more of those drivers who say what they think'', says the journalist who has been on the F1 paddock for years. ''Max is much more relaxed than before. Of course he wants to win, but he also gets satisfaction from his current performance''.
When will Verstappen take the title?
It seems a matter of time before Verstappen can actually fight for the world title. The young driver has been predicting a career with the necessary world titles for years, but in six years of Formula 1 he has never had the car to compete for the world title. According to Tremayne, however, that is only a matter of time.
''With the maturity he has gained in recent years, it is simply a matter of patience. His moment will come. He is ready to win the title, all he needs is the right car'', concludes the F1 journalist.
