Coronel doesn't understand Marko's words: 'Wake up, you dream at night'
For Max Verstappen and Red Bull Racing, the Italian Grand Prix is one to quickly forget. According to Tom Coronel, this is a missed opportunity for the Dutchman and Red Bull has to stop dreaming.
Verstappen drove to P5 on Saturday behind Carlos Sainz and Sergio Perez and had expected to ride to third place in the race. However, due to a problem with the engine he came away with zero points after he retired the car.
Coronel gets out to Marko
"It sucks seriously. These are the Grands Prix where he can make his move. Mercedes has problems, so you have to take your chance, but he couldn't do it now," said Tom Coronel at De Telegraaf.
"AlphaTauri's car looked better balanced than the Red Bull, so Verstappen would have liked that too. It is extra painful for Max that they will win."
With the missed opportunity take the battle to Mercedes, Coronel is also looking at what Helmut Marko said.
"If you look at his statements, I think you wake up because you dream at night. The Red Bull is ready for it this year. Of course, he can say things, but as a boss, you have to be realistic," concluded the Dutch racing driver.
