Tost satisfied with Gasly: ''All those things have only made him stronger''

With his victory, Pierre Gasly has taken an important step in his career. After the relegation of Red Bull Racing, Gasly has regained his confidence at AlphaTauri. The question now is whether the step back is possible?
Tost has no voice in drivers
At AlphaTauri, Franz Tost has the clean task of guiding young talent towards Red Bull's first team. In recent years, however, with Daniil Kvyat and Gasly, the Austrian has also got back a driver from Red Bull. Where the Russian had a lot of trouble with this, the Frenchman seems to have made a nice step with the smaller team.
''He had a hard time because he had to leave Red Bull and lost his best friend Anthoine Hubert at Spa. I advised him to mourn, but still do his job. Pierre has taken that very well and I think everything has only made him stronger'', says Tost to Sport1.de.
Uncertainty about Tsunoda's future
Whether Gasly goes back to Red Bull, Tost does not dare and cannot say. ''He is a driver of Red Bull and there are only two people making the decision about those four cars. They are Dietrich Mateschitz and Helmut Marko. I think we will know more by the end of October'', says the Austrian, who can say little about the possible arrival of Yuki Tsunoda.
''It is still far too early. Kvyat is still struggling a bit with his car, but that may change. Tsunoda is doing very well in Formula 2, that's right, but I'm not talking about the future of Red Bull. It is actually very simple. Those who drive the fastest get the seats in F1'', AlphaTauri's team boss concludes.
