Hamilton believes in experience Vettel: "Don't forget his four titles"

Sergio Perez bids farewell to Racing Point as of 2021, which will continue as Aston Martin as of that year. Sebastian Vettel, who was still looking for a seat, claims the Mexican's place. Six-time world champion and (former) rival of Vettel, Lewis Hamilton, already saw it coming and thinks the Ferrari driver is making the right choice.
Hamilton had expected this move
The F1 seat dance started early this year after Vettel announced his separation from Scuderia Ferrari. Open spaces were filled in and the German had checked. Until now, because Vettel will be joining Aston Martin next year. Racefans.net quotes Hamilton's reaction:
"Frankly, I thought this would be the best choice for him. I thought this would happen."
Do not underestimate Vettel
The six-time world champion continues: "I may be biased, but I believe that experience is very important. Vettel has of course had a difficult time at Ferrari, but he remains a four-time world champion".
The new Aston Martin team needs all the help and knowledge it can get. Although the team won't have to go through a whole innovation. Racing Point has been a foundation for many years. Hamilton thinks Vettel can be an added value.
"You should never take that for granted. It's a great move for the team," continues the Mercedes driver. "I'm sorry for Sergio of course [Perez, ed.]. He is a great driver and I am sure he still has options".
