Leclerc with praise: "I hope we can race Mugello again soon"

Charles Leclerc hopes that Formula 1 will return to Mugello. According to him the circuit has more than passed the F1 exam.
Although Leclercs performance on the track was not fantastic, the driver is full of praise for the track where normally only MotoGP races are held. He says to Motorsport.com that he prefers circuits like this, very demanding and with no room for error, to circuits like Spa, where there are very long runners. "I certainly prefer gravel. What we see here at Mugello is a much bigger challenge, and I enjoy it more when I know I'm ready when I make a mistake. It is much easier if you make a mistake somewhere and then have 50 metres to get back on the track. It's a good challenge, so certainly gravel for me".
Leclerc's idea
Many of the drivers on the grid seem to agree with each other about the circuit in Tuscany. However, the young Monegask has an idea that can be used for several circuits. "A piece of half a meter with grass next to the track, and next to that gravel again. That's perhaps a good idea not to punish a driver who, for all sorts of reasons, may have gotten off his racing line. This also prevents a lot of gravel from getting onto the asphalt, which is irritating as we have seen".
Leclerc also confirmed that he would like to see Mugello stuck on the Formula 1 calendar, something that is now considered highly unlikely. "I really enjoyed this weekend, the track was a very nice variable. We also saw a special race, and I admit that before the race I was a bit sceptical about the chances of catching up. I hope we'll be back here soon".
