Red Bull Racing is known for having other projects around motorsport in addition to F1. With Red Bull Advanced Technologies a lot of work is being done on projects that have nothing to do with F1. For example, the aeroscreen from the IndyCar comes from Red Bull Advanced Technologies' factory. Now Red Bull is coming up with something new, in cooperation with bicycle brand BMC.

Over the past two years, Red Bull and BMC have been investigating the possibilities of improving the cycling experience. Together with Olympic and world champion Fabian Cancellara, the first prototype has been developed. At BMC they are satisfied with the first results, but they are also happy at Red Bull.

Good cooperation

"It's fascinating to see what Formula 1 development techniques can bring in the field of bicycle design. Red Bull Advanced Technologies and BMC have developed enormous innovative concepts together", explains Christian Horner, team boss of Red Bull. He is very pleased with the product that has been put down.

"Now it's time to step up the pace of our collaboration and take those hugely exciting ideas to the next level in order to pursue the goal for the next generation of performance-oriented bikes," says Horner. See the BMC teaser below, which is an introduction to what is yet to come from BMC and Red Bull.
