With the departure of Honda at the end of next year, it will be up to Red Bull Racing to find a new partner for the power sources. The partnership with Renault didn't end in the smoothest way a few years ago, so in that sense a new partnership isn't at the top of Christian Horner's list of priorities. However, he doesn't rule it out either.

Passionate chairman

At the press conference on Friday at the Nürburgring, Red Bull Racing's team boss was asked about this. Horner: "Renault should be considered as a potential supplier for the future and I think Renault is a different organisation now than it was last time they provided us."

"They have a new president who seems passionate about Formula 1, which is good to see. Formula 1 needs that drive from the top of an organisation, that enthusiasm. Otherwise it is impossible to achieve success in the sport." In other words, Horner throws it somewhat on a chame offensive so as not to exclude anything.

For now, Red Bull Racing is looking at all the options they have, and they seem to be taking Renault with them. Finally, the team boss of Verstappen and Albon says, "we have to consider all the options."
