Alexander Albon 's position at Red Bull seems to be under more pressure as each race goes by. In conversation with Sky Sports, Ralf Schumacher has questioned why he is still driving despite there being races left in the season.
Schumacher called Albon a "brake block" and isn't sure if he should finish the season at Red Bull Racing .
"I don't know why he's still driving," Ralf Schumacher said.
"If you're already thinking about next year, then you could also think about letting the substitute candidate start the last four races."
It won't be the first time the team, led by Christian Horner , have replaced a driver mid-season. Pierre Gasly was put back in an Alpha Tauri in 2019 after the twelfth race of the season.
Uncertain future for Albon
However, Schumacher is of the opinion that Albon deserves a place with sister team, Alpha Tauri. "I'm sure Albon would look better in the AlphaTauri. The pressure would be gone and you could feel comfortable in the car."
