From FP1 to Q2 in qualifying Max Verstappen was the fastest this weekend. At the end of Q3 he missed out on pole position. The Dutchman is very disappointed with his performance.

Max Verstappen's attitude after qualifying spoke volumes. In front of Mark Webber's microphone, the Dutchman was looking for words. Then he was spotted sitting with his back against the wall and comforted by a Red Bull Racing employee.

During the FIA press conference, the Dutchman announced that he was not satisfied with his result. "I think it’s the first time I sit here this year upset. So, I think that says it all. It was all going quite well on the Wet tyres but already in Q1 when I tried to go on the Inters it was just not working at all even compared to other people on Inters around me," Verstappen tells the press.

Not a good feeling in Q3

In Q3 the Red Bull Racing driver was not very keen on the fact that he had to switch to the intermediate tires. "I felt really comfortable on the extreme tyres so, once we boxed and we went out, I had no grip at all compared to the laps I was doing before. Just very disappointing to be second," concludes Verstappen.
