Verstappen: "It wasn't fun to drive at all"

Many drivers complained last weekend about the state of the track at the Istanbul Park circuit. This resulted in a very attractive spectacle for the neutral viewer, but many drivers were not at all happy about this, particularly Max Verstappen
The Dutchman had been the hot favourite following the opening three sessions of the weekend, but after qualifying second behind Lance Stroll, it only went downhill from there. He had to settle for P6 in the race and was very downbeat afterwards.
"It's possible, but it wasn't fun to drive at all," he said on 'Peptalk' on Ziggo Sport. "I don't know what they did with that asphalt, but I've never seen anything like it in my life. In the end, it's the same for everyone, but it shouldn't be possible."
"It was just slippery asphalt and that's why there was only one line. So if there was a car in front of you, you couldn't get out of his wake, so you lose downforce. You just had to stay behind that car the whole time, so you couldn't catch up either."
