Bottas looks forward to the last three races 'without pressure'
- GPblog.com
One performs better under pressure, the other collapses. In Formula 1 you often see it. While Valtteri Bottas doesn't say he's actually collapsing under pressure, the Finn would like to emphasise that he's looking forward to the last races where the pressure is off since Lewis Hamilton claimed the title.
No pressure for Bottas
Mercedes won their seventh world title in a row. In the following race in Turkey, Hamilton took its own seventh world title.
Bottas is in a safe second place in the championship. At least, Max Verstappen follows behind by 27 points. So Bottas has to make sure he doesn't cause any downtime in the last three races. However, most of the pressure is already off in 2020 for Bottas.
Bottas looks forward to next year even more
Crash.net quotes the Finn: "Of course there is no pressure for the last three races. I wonder if that will make any difference. I look forward to those races to get good results or even more. But most of all I am looking forward to next year".
Bottas will have his fifth chance to beat Hamilton next year. Since joining the team in 2017, Bottas hasn't made things difficult for the Brit in a single year. With Hamilton's current form, there is no reason to believe that things will be any different in 2021.
