You'd hardly believe it in the desert: It's raining on the circuit in Bahrain
- GPblog.com
Prior to the Bahrain Grand Prix, few people would have taken rain into account here, but that turns out to be a mistake. It is now raining in Bahrain and it will continue to rain for a while!
The Bahrain Grand Prix is held in the Sakhir desert and temperatures are usually high. It is therefore not surprising that the race is held a bit later in the day, when the sun has already disappeared a bit. The first free practice, however, is always in the afternoon and therefore in the hot sun.
Rain in the desert
At least, everyone in the paddock is dressed for that. However, it now appears to be raining on the circuit in Bahrain and according to Weather.com it will continue to rain this morning. However, the prediction is that the chance of rain during the day will decrease.
It makes the first free practice session even more unpredictable and it is questionable to what extent the track conditions will change between sessions.
