Indeed, Yuki Tsunoda is the lucky winner of the 2020 FIA Rookie of the year cup. He was previously awarded the Anthoine Hubert Prize for best newcomer to Formula 2 and has now been judged by the FIA as the best debutant in all FIA championships.
Tsunoda beats Shwartzman
In his first year in Formula 2, Tsunoda finished third in the championship. In total he won three races and finished ahead of Robert Shwartzman in the general classification. The Russian, who became a Formula 3 champion just last year and rides for the rock-solid Prema Power Team.
A great prize, but Tsunoda will have the biggest reward with his seat at AlphaTauri next year of course.
