Ferrari set targets for Giovinazzi: "It's pretty clear"

Although the signing of Carlos Sainz as a Ferrari driver caused quite a bit of disappointment for Antonio Giovinazzi, he is still employed by Ferrari and can prove himself at Alfa Romeo for another year.
Continuing to make progress
Giovinazzi is entering his third full season in Formula One and will once again take his place alongside Kimi Raikkonen at Alfa Romeo. Ferrari, officially the Italian driver's employer, has set clear goals for next season.
"For Ferrari it is quite clear - they want me to continue my progression as a driver and get results," he told Motorsport.com. "This is also very clear from my side, so that is my goal for next season." He is also happy with the partnership with Raikkonen. "That also makes it easier to progress as a driver."
Competitive car
The only thing Giovinazzi now lacks is a competitive car. "I hope we have a better car this season and that it will be easier to take points," he said. The 27-year-old driver hopes that not only for himself, but also for the team. "I think for the team it is not easy. I always try to push everyone to do as well as possible. I think in the end we did very well - I always see the guys very motivated."
