The first brands presented their cars for the coming year last week. McLaren and AlphaTauri did so, among others. Of course, there is a lot of attention for the new features that can be admired on the car. Or are the changes not so visible this year?

In his vlog on YouTube, Will Buxton discusses this topic. He observes the following about McLaren's cars. "It's incredibly tightly packed. The sidepots are as good as gone. An awful lot of work has gone into it."

The details make it

Furthermore, the English journalist sees that it is difficult to spot very big changes. "Many people say they don't see much difference between last year's car and this one. I think it's about the way cars are built this year. The devil is in the details."

As an example, Buxton again cites McLaren's design. "They've actually removed some of the complicated aerodynamics around the barge board. Along with the rear of the car, those are the two areas where the focus should be during the presentations."
