Confirmed | F1 Stewards reach conclusion after Sebastian Vettel investigation
Sebastian Vettel has been awarded a ten-second time penalty for his causing a collision with Esteban Ocon in the closing stages of the race. The German didn't start his career at Aston Martin on a positive note. The four-time World Champion has also been given two penalty points.

Ocon overtook Vettel on the home straight, but when tucking back in Vettel hit Ocon under breaking. The two drivers managed to carry on racing after spinning. The statement reads: "The Stewards reviewed multiple angles of video evidence and telemetry and determined that Car 5 was wholly to blame for the contact at Turn 1."
As a result, Vettel was given a 10-second penalty and two penalty points. He now has a tally of five penalty points over a 12 month period. With the time penalty, Vettel finished in 15th, and he reviews a difficult weekend.
"It's been an obviously difficult race. Had the one-stop and we had to try something different and at the end, I was struggling quite a lot with the tyres. So, I don't think we could have realistically scored points today. I think I was trying to cut to the left but Esteban was moving to the left as well and went I was right behind him I locked the fronts and went into him. So, was not great for both of our races," Vettel told Sky Sports.
