Max Verstappen won the French Grand Prix on Sunday afternoon. During the race, the Dutchman had a problem with his team radio, which meant that his team could not hear him. The driver didn't panic though, he says At the press conference.
It was a strange moment on the French circuit. Where Verstappen tried to communicate with his team, he was told that he could barely, if at all, be understood. "It was literally next to my mouth. I tried to change it and it was always in the same position as previous races and stuff. So, I don’t know what happened."
Although fans were wondering what was going on, Verstappen himself remained calm under the incident. Indeed, the Dutch driver saw the moment in perspective. "I just couldn’t talk back to them. But they of course could feed me all the information and that’s the most important [thing] – because the stops were done."
Advantage Verstappen over Hamilton
Verstappen's victory means he remains on top of the world championship after the French race. Verstappen even widened the gap on Lewis Hamilton, putting him 12 points ahead of the Englishman this week.
