Verstappen reacts to Hamilton's statement: 'I was pushing'

During the press conference of the FIA Lewis Hamilton was of the opinion that Max Verstappen didn't need to push too much during the sprint race to beat the Mercedes driver. The Dutchman reacted to the statement of the Brit.
"I was pushing otherwise I could not keep Lewis behind. You could see that. Also, my tyres were blistered, so… I guess we will find out tomorrow during the race, of course, how competitive we are going to be because then fuel loads are again different, the car will be moving around a bit more so yeah, we’ll find out", Verstappen responded.
Hamilton was the strongest man during qualifying on Friday night, but in the sprint race on Saturday, Verstappen was able to overtake the world champion easily at the star.
Verstappen expects a good fight
Verstappen continued: "It seemed like in this more-or-less flat-out race – you cannot really call it flat-out but at least pushing more, the pace was alright but I still expect with a pit-stop coming into play – or two pit stops, who knows – it’s again going to be a good fight."
It seems that Red Bull Racing is faster in the corners, but Mercedes has the advantage on the straights. Later today we will see who is actually the fastest man.
