Where Verstappen has made a big step with Lando Norris and the two Mercedes drivers have made a big step behind, there are also a lot of changes in the drivers class after eleven races this year compared to last year.

What is immediately noticeable is that Mercedes has 88 points less than last year, while Red Bull has collected 80 more than last year to eleven races. This is of course not only due to Verstappen, but also due to Perez. The Mexican driver has collected more points than his predecessors at Red Bull.

Ferrari and McLaren ahead

McLaren was already often in the top ten last year, but thanks to the fantastic season of Lando Norris the team has collected 47 points more than last year after eleven races. And that includes the disappointing performance of Ricciardo.

With 83 points Ferrari has also made a huge step forward compared to last year. In fact nobody has made such a big positive step forward. Charles Leclerc en Carlos Sainz devide the total points perfectly.

Alpine and Aston Martin lose out on the podium

On the other side of the medal Alpine did not improve. Compared to last year after eleven races the team has 37 points less. That number would have been even higher if the team didn't win the GP of Hungary with Esteban Ocon and Fernando Alonso finished fourth during the same race.

The biggest disappointment however is Aston Martin, last year's Racing Point. Compared to last year Lawrence Stroll's team has 72 points less after eleven races. Only Mercedes lost more points than Aston Martin.
