Ferrari is experiencing tremendous growth this season. Last year, when things didn't go according to plan, seems to be forgotten. The red car is back in the top ten every weekend and is sometimes even competing for victories. A third place in the Constructors' Championship is not even unrealistic.

The next step will have to be taken next year when the rules and the car will change significantly. With a new racing simulator, Ferrari should continue its form in the new era and even improve it. According to former F1 engineer Ashley Warne, the new race simulator is already in the works at the head office in Maranello after two years of construction. This she says to Eurosport, quoted by SkySports Germany.

"Driver and car must form a unit." SkySports Germany talks about the importance of such a simulator. "It is important that the driver has an exact replica of what he can expect on the track, so he can react in real-time. For this, the higher bandwidth of 50 to 100 Hertz ensures that the route is displayed in more detail, bumps and bumps are rendered realistically and engine noises become louder at higher speeds. Other simulators are around 20 Hertz."

Can Ferrari drive itself to the top with this?

In any case, that's the target for next year. A big step has already been made this year, but just like McLaren, the team will want to make the next step. The goal is to close the gap with Mercedes and Red Bull. Whether this will succeed, is of course future music of which nobody knows the melody yet.
