Perez refreshed back from holiday and hungry for results

Sergio Perez had a mixed first half of the season at Red Bull Racing. The Mexican won the Azerbaijan Grand Prix but only managed to finish on the podium once. The Mexican is hungry for good results in the rest of the season.
Refreshed from holiday
For Perez, at least, the summer break was a good time to recharge and get some fresh air, the championship number five told Red Bull Racing's preview. "I managed to completely disconnect from F1 and that's important, both mentally and physically. Now I'm back, fully refreshed and it's going to be a very intense second part of the season. It's crazy to think in four months the season will be over."
Perez wants to finish season strong
Perez did not get beyond the first corner in Hungary, so it has been a while since the Mexican drove a Grand Prix. "I'm very hungry! Not just for Spa, but for the second half of the season. I'm feeling more and more comfortable with the car, we're taking the right steps forward and I think we're going to finish the season strong."
The race at Spa-Francorchamps is therefore a nice opener to the rest of the season. "With these cars, it's really fun to drive and it's a very fast circuit. Because the track is so long, it can be dry in some parts, but wet in others, making it difficult to judge the conditions."
Anniversary with Honda
The Belgian Grand Prix will be the 50th race between Red Bull Racing and Honda. Perez has only been working with the Japanese since this season but talks about it with great pleasure. "Honda is so enthusiastic, you can see their passion for the sport and it's nice to have people around you with that kind of energy. I've enjoyed working with them and it's been a great experience so far. I hope we can repay them by winning the championship this year before they leave the sport."
