Wolff defensive after engine question: "You've been fed a lot of bullshit"

Toto Wolff thinks he knows where the advantage of Mercedes lies compared to Red Bull Racing. He believes it's not just on the straights, but also in the fast corners. When asked about the internal cooling, which some believe is the reason for the team's sudden progress, the Mercedes team principal was visibly irritated.
When Sky Sports ask about the air valves in the engine he is clearly not keen on that. "You are getting fed with a lot of bullshit," the Austrian replies. "But the questions are interesting. We don't need to talk about air valves or anything like that because you and I won't understand what it is."
Wolff sees where progress is made at Mercedes
Despite the engine problems, which seem to be mostly confined to Valtteri Bottas, Wolff sees where his team has made progress. "We are gaining on the straight but the main gains when you look at the speed trace with Verstappen is through the fast corners. That is encouraging because they are clearly running more drag."
"They need to run more drag, but we are still better in the corners," the Mercedes team boss continued. Incidentally, he doesn't think the gap to Red Bull will remain that large. "I'd wish that, but usually they'll creep their way back up," Wolff concludes.
