Not Andretti, but Porsche or Audi to take over Sauber'

Now that the Andretti takeover is off the table for Alfa Romeo Sauber, it looks like the team is waiting for 2025. That's when Porsche and Audi might step into Formula 1 and a partnership with the Swiss team is a good option.
Porsche and Audi see Sauber as perfect candidate
For a long time, it seemed that Michael Andretti would do everything to take over Sauber and continue with the team under his own name. This takeover is now off the table, so Andretti has to look for another option to join Formula 1.
Now the Swiss Blick reports that there is interest from Porsche and Audi to take over the Sauber team. This should happen in 2025 when Formula 1 introduces the new engine regulations. The Volkswagen Group, where Porsche and Audi are part of, has been at the meetings when it comes to the new engines that are expected in 2025.
German engines nothing new for Sauber
For Sauber, it would not be the first time that the team would be driving with German engines. In 1994 the team drove with Mercedes engines and from 2006 through 2009 the team was the factory team of BMW. BMW was the team's biggest success and their only victory.
