Hamilton continues series of apologies: "On to the next one Valtteri"
- GPblog.com
Lewis Hamilton was totally misunderstood by the public after his defeat in Mexico. He antagonised the Mexican fans of Sergio Perez, but there were also frowns after his remark about teammate Valtteri Bottas.
Hamilton creates clarity
Hamilton also wants to clarify the second situation, in which he criticised the opening of the race with Bottas by his side. Via Instagram, the Brit apologised: "We all have good days and bad days. Yesterday I said Bottas left the door open and of course people criticised that."
Hamilton seems to understand the criticism and therefore declares further: "We are a team, and we win and lose as a team. There is not just one single person responsible for a winning or losing. We do it together; good or bad."
Hamilton not placing blame on Bottas
Hamilton is trying to make it clear that he does not blame Bottas for the defeat to Max Verstappen who passed both Mercedes cars in the first corner. Yet the Briton does not take back his words.
Hamilton closes the message: "You may be able to beat us, but you can't break us! On to the next one Valtteri. We'll keep pushing bro."
