The media are currently tripping over each other. They all get the one question: 'Who will be champion? After the race in Mexico Marca Daniel Ricciardo was also asked who will eventually win the grand prize? After seeing Verstappen win in Mexico, the former team mate doesn't doubt for a second: "If it's not this year, then it's inevitable that he will become world champion one day. He goes for every gap he sees," the Australian said.
This weekend Verstappen hopes to extend his lead in the World Cup standings. With a sprint race on Saturday and the Grand Prix on Sunday, a total of 29 points are up for grabs in Brazil. With a victory in both races and the conquering of the fastest lap, Verstappen would therefore take another big step towards his first world title.
