Wolff points the finger at Red Bull: ‘We want to win titles on the tarmac’

Toto Wolff was visibly upset after the sprint race of the Brazilian Grand Prix by the earlier decision of the race committee. Lewis Hamilton had to start from the back of the grid because of an infringement with his DRS. According to Wolff, this was not the case.
The Mercedes team boss decided not to dwell too long on the disappointment. "When you have it tough you have to show resilience," Wolff told NOS. "That's what we did. Valtteri and Lewis lifted my mood with a great half hour of racing. It just goes to show: after the greatest frustration, sometimes forces are released that lead to fantastic performances."
Wolff wants to earn the world title fairly
While the stewards ruled that Mercedes did not act according to the rules with Hamilton's car, Wolff denied all accusations. He blamed Red Bull Racing for the steward's action, but said his team wanted to remain professional and focus on racing.
"We want to win the titles on the tarmac and not through the judges' table," stressed the team boss, who also had another argument. "Besides, we didn't want to risk losing all the points this weekend by stubbornly going for our equal."
