Max Verstappen has stated that he did nothing wrong during the incident with Hamilton in Brazil. It was about worn tyres. The Dutchman therefore states that he will not solve it differently next time.
Verstappen has no regrets
"I would do the same next time" reports Verstappen at the FIA press conference opposite the likes of The Telegraph. "As drivers we know exactly what can and cannot be done."
Verstappen does not think it is necessary to apologise for the incident. Hamilton also said afterwards that he had actually enjoyed the fight with Verstappen.
Hamilton would have had a hard time anyway
"We both braked late into the corner and the tyres were hot, you have to take that into account. I don't expect to be punished, but it's not in my hands."
Verstappen thought it was a textbook example of hard, but fair racing. Finally, the Dutchman challenged his opponent: "It wouldn't be easy for Lewis to overtake me anyway. It shouldn't be, when you're fighting for the title."
