Charles Leclerc has been fined no less than €200 for a speeding infringement during the second free practice session in Qatar. The Monegasque drove 1.6km/h too fast in the pit lane.

Asked about the incident, the Ferrari driver can laugh about it. Was there a problem with his car? "No, just with my finger," he replied to Sky Deutschland's question, laughing. "I looked at the wheel, saw the white line and thought that was the end of the pit lane, but it wasn't."

He continued: "Then I braked, but it was too late." It landed him a 200 euro fine. Will he borrow that from team boss Mattia Binotto? "No, I'll pay it myself," is the Monegasque's answer.
