Many a
Formula 1 driver has several cars (and sometimes motorbikes) in the garage. Often, these also come with quite the price tag. It is therefore interesting to know when a driver has bought a new car. Today it was
Valtteri Bottas' turn.
The car collection of
F1 drivers often consists partly of cars of the brand they drive for, provided, of course, that this is possible.
Ferrari drivers own Ferraris, Mercedes drivers
Mercedes cars (although
Lewis Hamilton also has Ferraris in his garage).
Valtteri Bottas went shopping for an
Alfa Romeo today.
A fancy red car
The Finn has been driving at
Alfa Romeo since 2022. The F1 team itself is Swiss, but the car brand is Italian. Bottas could therefore be found today at the Stellantis & You showroom in Turin, Italy, according to a tweet from the team. There he bought a red Alfa Romeo Giulia GTAm. With this car, one has to shell out a minimum of £156,000 (in the UK).
Bottas said in
an exclusive interview with GPblog that he feels comfortable with the Swiss team, and it is to be hoped for him that the good performances continue. The new car is likely to be a nice extra cherry on top.
