If a Rooky, beats a two time world champion in his first year in F1. Then it makes sense to say if that Rooky later on was in a much better car in later years and wins the world championship, then it makes sense to say that rooky is a good driver.

There is no need to say that Fez.Schumacher is amazing because what he is saying is Verstappen was a proper driver for one race only.That is why I'm answering you not him.
I do not think you are fair in your assessment. .. unless you also believe that Lewis n Bottas are not proper drivers. How can that not be a jab, is that ok then...
To my credit, i gave Max the thumbs up for that race.. nothing personal. Maybe you missed that part... someone once said even dogs can drive a Merc n win... let your friend not throw bricks if he lives in a glass house!
I believe in everything that you said,maybe im failing to express how I don't agree with what Schumacher said.He knows very well that Merc has good drivers.
They just had the wrong tire tactics and still ended up in the very top. Max predicted it beforehand and turned out to be right. On Dutch national TV they also said that Max was the only one with a good tactic. I still think Mercedes would have won if they had proper drivers actually, but they don't. So Max won.
