With just six races to go in the 2019
Formula 1 season, it looked like Mercedes would be runaway winners once again, but with Ferrari now winning three races in a row while also claiming a one-two in Singapore, the table is getting closer again!
After claiming their first one-two in over two years, Ferrari are back on the front foot again in the constructors' championship. Although it's still Mercedes' to lose, with the Germans still holding a 133-point advantage, it's now three wins on the trot for Ferrari.
With six races to go in 2019, Ferrari will have to gain at least 20 points on Mercedes on average to challenge. In Singapore they did exactly that, scoring 43 points themselves while holding Mercedes to just 22. It will be extremely difficult to catch the Silver Arrows at this point, but never count out the most successful team in F1 history...
In midfield, McLaren still lead the charge as Lando Norris put six more points on the board for the Woking-based team. Renault, their main rival, had a troublesome weekend with penalties on Saturday and damage on Sunday but still salvaged two points through Nico Hülkenberg getting P9.
