The first four races of the 2020
Formula 1 season have been postponed. With more likely to follow, the whole schedule for the season is under pressure. There's talk of putting European races in the summer break and placing the postponed flyaways at the end of the year. But that presents another problem.
End of the season
Abu Dhabi is now the traditional venue to hold the final race of the season. And this is contracted to happen. This means the season has to end here, otherwise, they'll be a huge bill to fulfil.
The race will be held on November 29, according to the current calendar, but the question is whether it is feasible.
Chances are that the season will start at the end of May and in that case Monaco will be the first of the year. If it is Baku, the first race will be on June 7. At least six or seven races will need to be rescheduled.
New obstacle
With so many races to catch up on, it will be difficult to squeeze them all in before the date for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. Nevertheless, with this contractual obligation, Formula 1 faces a new obstacle.
