Sky Sports F1 pundit and former world champion Damon Hill has praised Max Verstappen for his driving on Friday, as Hill was quick to admit that Verstappen is a future champion.
Verstappen took both FP1 and FP2 on Friday, bouncing back from all the criticism he's been getting over the last two weeks since Monaco.
"Max has come into the weekend with a lot of criticism but he's established he has the speed," Hill said.
"He's a future champion and today he's dominated.
"Whether this can continue through the weekend when Ferrari and Mercedes turn up the wick, I don't know.
"But it certainly looks very positive for Red Bull."
Indeed it does. Two P1 & 3 combo's for the Bulls sets them up very nicely for the weekend, as they've proven to have the speed to seriously compete in Canada with both Ferrari, who were nowhere today, and Mercedes, who are still struggling to find any pace with the hyper softs.
