For the
Formula 1 organisation a healthy battle between the top teams is of course desirable. But openly slinging mud is a step too far for F1. In the interest of the sport, Domenicali thinks the teams should repair their relationship.

"At this stage it is good to remain silent and not create further controversy in an already heated situation," says the Italian. He does indicate, however, that talks have been held with the
FIA president about the wrangling. Improving the relationship between Red Bull and Mercedes is one of the priorities.

Toto Wolff developed a contentious rapport over the course of the 2021 season. This was, of course, due to the intense on-track battle between their drivers
Max Verstappen and
Lewis Hamilton. Both bosses had already hinted at improving their relationship.
