Lando Norris secured the third win of his
Formula 1 career in the
Singapore Grand Prix - and with it the most dominant victory in the 2024 season so far. The
McLaren driver gets a high score.
Max Verstappen also gets a high score after getting everything out of the RB20.
Verstappen maximises, Norris dominant in Singapore GP
Norris recorded a dominant win at the
Marina Bay Street Circuit. The
McLaren driver led from start to finish and had scored his first Grand Slam (pole position, victory and fastest lap) were it not for
Daniel Ricciardo snatching the fastest lap and thus the extra point in what was possibly his last
F1 race.
A near-perfect weekend for Norris, who made two mistakes during the race that could have thrown everything away. So there was a bit of luck involved, but other than that, the Briton did everything right. In a still-struggling RB20, the reigning world champion somehow qualified on the front row. During the race, he drove in no man's land, but he remained faultless, scoring an important second place at a circuit that historically does not suit his car.
