The
FIA has announced the final starting grid for the
Spanish Grand Prix. The biggest changes from Saturday afternoon will see
Charles Leclerc and
Logan Sargeant, who will both start from the pit lane.
Max Verstappen starts the race at the
Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya from pole position. Next to him starts his former teammate
Carlos Sainz, who is keen on a strong result in his home race. Behind the
Ferrari driver we find
Lando Norris, who is next to
Lewis Hamilton on the second row.
Hamilton and the five drivers behind him all gained a place thanks to
Pierre Gasly's double grid penalty, which forces him to start tenth. Charles Leclerc and Logan Sargeant, who were due to start from the last row anyway, will start the race from the pit lane after Ferrari and
Williams opted to make changes after qualifying.
