Full result FP1: Verstappen in pursuit of Mercedes

We're back at Silverstone for the second weekend running. After the British Grand Prix, it is now the drivers' turn to compete in the Formula 1 70th Anniversary Grand Prix. During the first free practice on the warm circuit, it was Mercedes who were clearly the fastest. Valtteri Bottas set the fastest time, followed by Lewis Hamilton in tenth place. Max Verstappen has to follow at seven-tenths but drove more laps than the Mercedes drivers.
