Haas driver Romain Grosjean has said that he and the team need ‘a strong think about what we can do’ after their struggles continued in Baku. Haas have not scored any points since the season’s opener in Australia where
Kevin Magnussen finished sixth.
Neither of the cars made it into Q3 in Azerbaijan and Grosjean had to retire due to a brake problem, whilst Magnussen could only manage a 13thplaced finish.
When asked whether their performance in Baku was an issue despite it going to be a struggle Grosjean said (Motorsport.com):
"Yeah, but f***ing annoying. “Somehow not too surprising, but we need to sit down, really have a strong think about what we can do.
"Barcelona may be warm so that should be fine, but then we have Canada and Monaco and again, if we want to fight for fourth or fifth in the constructors' championship we've got to be able to be good in all circumstances.
"That's really something we need to look into, understand and solve – as well as these small issues we had in my side of the garage, which has been quite a fair bit.
