The
Haas F1 team have been tipped to be the dark horse in this years F1 season.
The team made a positive impact on pre-season testing archiving their consistency goal.
As well as this, the car seemed to be much faster than last year and more reliable without having any troubles.
Kevin Magnussen and Romain Grojean, the two drivers at Haas, were also pleased with how the car was running.
Former F1 driver Alex Wurz, who was at pre-season testing said whilst talking to Speed Week: “Haas made a big impression on me.
“The car looks excellent, as good as last year’s Ferrari. And everyone knows how good that worked
“Handling is really impressive on any fuel load.
Kevin Magnussen drove the car on Thursday with his father, Jan Magnussen, present at the track.
Jan said: “I can imagine that the test filled the whole team with confidence.
“Kevin said the car feels good, that it suits him well and that they’ve taken a step forward.
“But when comparing to the others it’s just guessing. You have Toro Rosso, Haas, Williams, McLaren and Renault and it’s hard to know where you are in that group.
“But the team, and Kevin are optimistic. Now they go to Melbourne so we’ll find out.”
