All season long there's been a buzz of rumors about
Toto Wolff. Mercedes' team boss was said to be looking for a new challenge and flirted openly with
Racing Point and Aston Martin. If Wolff does leave Mercedes, it will not affect
Lewis Hamilton's plans for the future.
"What you have to remember is that it's a team of so many people," Hamilton says to
Autosport.com and others.
"There are almost 2,000 people on the team, or something like that. It's not just one person, one individual. So no, that doesn't determine whether I stay or not". Hamilton supports Wolff's choice
So Wolff could start working as a team leader at Aston Martin and in the past was also linked to an important position at Liberty Media. However, he has also indicated that he might want to spend more time with family. These are choices that Hamilton would all support.
"Everyone has to do what's best for them. What's good for their careers and their happiness. I think it's a smart idea for him. Everyone needs a moment to figure out what they want to do going forward. I hope he stays. It's been nice working and negotiating with him, but I will fully support his decision."
