Lewis Hamilton has said that winning a race for him this year is much harder than for his opponents at Red Bull and Ferrari, as Hamilton struggled to impact the races in the first three races before winning in Baku.
Hamilton, who loves to portray himself as the underdog, concedes that Ferrari and Red Bull are better than Mercedes this year.
"Ferrari and Red Bull took a massive step," Hamilton told PlanetF1.
"So did we, but they unfortunately made more progress.
"That's not strange, as it's always easier to pursue.
Hamilton looks back at his time at McLaren as a reference point to what's happening now.
"At McLaren, there was always a quicker car than us, we always were the one chasing.
"Mercedes are capable of building the quickest car."
