Lewis Hamilton saw his victory at the
Italian Grand Prix go up in smoke because of an illegal pit stop under the safety sar. However, the Briton fought back and managed to secure a points finish.
''It's a bit double, of course, but I enjoyed it. I led the race and did everything I could to win the race. If you fall back then that's not nice and I don't understand how I got back that far. I'm proud of my performance, but despite all the success, I still see enough to learn from," Hamilton told Sky Sports.
Hamilton happy with Vettel
It was also announced on Thursday that
Sebastian Vettel will be driving for
Aston Martin in 2021. Vettel and Hamilton have fought over the years for several world titles and Hamilton is happy that Vettel will be staying in
Formula 1.
''It is very nice for Formula 1 this news. It's a four-time world champion and so it's good that he's staying in the sport," said Hamilton. The Mercedes driver also calls it the smartest move
Aston Martin could have made for their first year in
Formula 1.
