Three drivers had to miss one or more races this season due to a coronavirus infection;
Sergio Perez,
Lance Stroll and
Lewis Hamilton. The seven-time world champion has now told more about the effect his infection had on him.
Four kilos lost
Hamilton missed the Skahir Grand Prix but was back on the grid a week later. However, the British driver was not yet fully fit at his return.
“I’ve lost six kilograms over the past two months, four of which I lost when I got Covid," he says on his
Instagram account.
“I’ve lost so much muscle.”On a photo placed by Hamilton, he can be seen in the gym. “Starting from a low point in strength now, not fun, but I’m determined to get my strength back and be a hundred percent again. No pain, no gain.”
