With
Max Verstappen's P2,
Christian Horner can look back on the
Monaco Grand Prix qualifying relatively satisfied. The Dutchman starts on the front row of the grid, and possible heavy damage to Leclerc's gearbox could still earn him pole position.
Speaking to Sky Sport's experts, Horner reacted as follows to Verstappen's qualifying, which must undoubtedly feel like a missed opportunity: "The immediate disappointment is we should have got the last lap because as you know here how important it is... So, there is that frustration but you have at the glass half full rather then half empty."
Despite this, Horner also sees a bright spot, the great distance between his driver and
Lewis Hamilton: "
The more cars in between ourselves and Lewis at the moment is a positive."Perez gets busy afternoon
Horner is less enthusiastic about Perez's mediocre P9. He nuanced the Mexican's result by saying he was troubled by traffic on the track, but warned: " Perez is going to have a busy afternoon."
