With rain predicted during the
Imola Grand Prix, there are many opportunities for
Max Verstappen. The drivers will start on intermediates, but the track is predicted to dry out quickly.
Christian Horner emphasizes the risk present in these difficult conditions.
The pressure is on for
Charles Leclerc. With the lead in the championship and
Ferrari's home race in
Imola, much is expected from the Monegasque. Leclerc will have to attack Verstappen from P2, but will also have to take into account
Sergio Perez on P3.
Red Bull has clear goal
Verstappen is well behind Leclerc in the driver's championship, so the Dutchman will be only too happy to take advantage of the rain. A mistake is quickly made in tricky conditions, so there is a lot of risk.
"On a day like today, there is a lot of risk. It looks like it will dry out quite quickly but there is another band of rain coming. It will be about going with the track and staying ahead of the Ferrari", Horner says to Sky Sports.
