W Series champion
Jamie Chadwick has admitted that she isn't ready to make the step up to F1 just yet. The 21-year-old is currently
Williams development driver and won the inaugural all-female W Series earlier this year.
The Brit won the W Series by ten points, finishing ahead of Beitske Visser after winning two of the first three races of the season.
"I now know what I need to learn in the next few years," Chadwick told the Guardian.
"I get comments on social media asking if I will be replacing Robert Kubica. That is not even a realistic option. I need the time to develop.
"If I get to F1, I want to be the best possible driver to make the mark I need to make and do the best possible job rather than being there a year or two early for no reason.”
In order to be able to race in F1, Chadwick would need to earn 40 Super License points which come into the W Series from the 2020 season.
