Robert Kubica believes that
Fernando Alonso is misunderstood when the Spaniard speaks about his future plans. Kubica, who returns to the
Formula 1 grid in March, also speaks about the measure of Alonso's talents.
Alonso, a two-time world champion, will not feature on the grid in 2019 as he looks to achieve motorsports Triple Crown. When
Williams announced the return of Kubica, Alonso spoke highly of the Polish driver's skills.
Kubica repays the favour and goes one step further. He suggests the former
McLaren driver is the best driver the sport has ever witnessed.
"Sometimes people confuse the desire to get better with arrogance or bad character. Alonso has become world champion because of his strong character. He is not only one of the best drivers, but the best driver in Formula 1," Kubica told Movistar + F1.
