The winner of the Japan Grand Prix will be presented with a very special trophy. This time not a fragile porcelain work of art, but a technological masterpiece. Manufacturer Lenovo has developed the special Kiss Me Trophy. As the name suggests, the idea is that the winner's trophy will be kissed during a podium ceremony. On Lenovo' s website, the company explains what is possible with the trophy.
Lenovo is the main sponsor of this year's Japanese Grand Prix. The tech company is therefore showing off a unique winner's trophy, which can change colour. The trophy features a 'Kiss Me button'. As soon as the driver kisses or touches this button, the cup will change into the race winner's national flag. So a unique image for during a podium ceremony.
Whether Max Verstappen will have the Kiss Me Trophy coloured red-white-blue will become clear on Sunday. The race at Suzuka will start at 7:00 am Dutch time, with Verstappen starting the race from pole position.
