Helmut Marko hopes
Sebastian Vettel will return to a role in
Formula 1 within a few seasons. The
Red Bull Racing adviser previously spoke to the German, where it became clear that he is open to a management position in the future. Marko thinks this is good news, he told
Sky Sports Deutschland. Vettel bid farewell to the motorsport class over a month ago to loud applause. The former driver made it clear that he had enough years in
Formula 1 behind him and that he was ready for a different life, where he wants to focus on his family, among other things.
Marko's confidence in Vettel
Behind the scenes, however, Red Bull decided to hold talks with Vettel to explore his plans. In doing so, the Austrian formation got the message that Vettel definitely sees a return to the team. Marko is therefore hopeful for the future.
Indeed, he expects Vettel can succeed in Formula 1 as a manager. "He would certainly have the potential and personality for it, but let him plant some trees for now," Marko noted. Indeed, Vettel also wants to get involved in the fight against climate change in the coming years.
