Max Verstappen has a dual nationality due to his Belgian mother and Dutch father. The Belgian media therefore brought the news surrounding Verstappen's world title in a big way. Helmut Marko decided in conversation with the German Sport1 to venture an interesting statement.

The Red Bull Racing driver has been known as a great talent in Formula 1 for many years. Where he failed to beat Lewis Hamilton for several seasons, he succeeded in doing so in 2021. It made Verstappen gain even more fans, including people from Belgium.

Since Verstappen was born in Hasselt, Belgians also consider him a compatriot. Jos Verstappen expressed last year that his son feels completely Dutch. According to Marko, there is another country in him, he tells us with a wink. "There's also a little bit of Austria in him, if you like to think of it that way," the Red Bull advisor said.

Red Bull launches new car

To f*ck up., same to U, Regardless of having 2 nationalities, nothing new in that.he is a good driver, only thing that makes him 2nd to Lewis, is he can’t control his temper!& like so many that don’t or will not ever get the chance, to have a good car underneath them, As that is only 50% +or - of the equation! Now since markoff & hornbill opened their yaps, for the last time! Max was Given the drivers title, due to Messi changing the rules! Everyone knows that! But if it’s that important to you ? Have it ! I’m sure Merc & Lewis or George will WIN IT ALL AGAIN, with out the cheating that went on that last race! Have a good 1!

It is Dutch Law here (to end all emotions). Hoofdregel van de Rijkswet op het Nederlanderschap is dat iemand Nederlander is, als op het moment van geboorte één der ouders Nederlander is. De rijkswet trad in 1984 in werking. basic rule of this law is somebody has Netherlands Nationality if on the moment of birth 1 parent has Netherlands nationality. No matter where it is born born. Law effective from 1984.

He was born in Belgium and has a Belgian passport, but he is Dutch. That is because women don't matter in his family.

Every person with dual nationality has the right to chose which nation he represents. In rally there's Oliver Solberg for instance, also dual nationality. He used to drive for Norway and now drives for Sweden. Just cause that's what he feels. It's funny the things people moan about. A person nationality. What a boring life people seem to be living to come moan about something like this. Amazing.

That's awesome! Everyone wants to claim Max as their own.
